Camping

We went camping for the first time together this last weekend. We went up with all my girlfriends from high school and their hubbys, luckily we all married really cool guys and everyone gets along really well:) Melinda's husband is the scout master so he knew all the tricks for making great food with out having to use tons of dishes. He made the peach cobbler and showed us how to make omelets in a zip lock back...which is the coolest thing I have ever seen! After only spending one night in the woods I realised the three things I must have with me next time I camp, 1: ear plugs 2:my sleeping eye mask 3: a RV! I have learned that I am not much of a camper, I worry too much about wild animals or crazy serial killers. I used to always tell Mark I wanted to start family traditions with the kids and go camping every year, but now I think our couple trips up to the cabin in Greer will do just fine:) I like to sleep in my nice cozy cabin, which has a lock on the door, wake up and have the option of going outside to see the gorgeous view or just settle for opening the curtains and starring out the window.

It looks like tons of fun. LOL, I agree with you... sometimes I think I love camping and then other times I love being at our cabin in Prescott where there is running water, cozy bed, heater/ac, and doors with locks :)

I think that would be a blast!!! Man I look at pics and wonder how we had so much energy. And we are not even that old. Yeah I have 4 weeks left. time used to fly, but now it is not so much. I find myself getting more freaked out. Were you the same? or am I over-reacting?

I am totaly with you on the RV or just stikin to the cabin. Craig loves to camp and I hate wild animals and the whole cooking outside thing. Well actually I just don't like cleaning up dishes with no sink.

I have mixed feelings on camping...I think I want to be a camper, but I'm not sure if I'm really cut out for it. We went on a stake youth trek up in wy last week and slept in a tent for three nights. The first night we got there we set up our tent then went to help other people set up their tents and while we were doing this service...the 50 mph wind broke both poles on my parents tent that we borrowed! You can imagine how happy we were about having to buy them a new tent! Anyway, all I could think about was how badly I wanted to sleep in the trailer so I wouldn't have to hear the wind blowing all night long! I ended up doing ok. FYI we're coming down to phx for kylan's sister's wedding in october. Her wedding is on the 10 which is a friday so we're coming down the wed before and leaving the tues after. Count on doing something fun together while we're there!

We love camping too, but having small kids brings a whole new dynamic to it!

Looks like lots of fun!

I can totally do Connie's invitations. We really need to start planning :-)

I will design them and then send you the file in a format where you can take them to like Kinko's or someplace simple like that. I am just limited to what I have out here but can get it all print ready for you. Will that work? Call or email me. Do you have an idea on a theme we should do or are we not going to go that route? I am down with whatever. Talk to you soon.
