I was at my moms house getting stuff out for sandwiches today. I cut the french bread in half with a bread knife and then went to cut the avocado with the same knife......BIG MISTAKE! I went down with the knife to cut the pit of the avocado and cut my thumb instead of the avocado pit! My thumb started bleeding everywhere so I rushed over to the sink to wash it off. As soon as the blood got washed away I could see how deep it was. I was freaking out of course, pretty much crying with panic while my sister was offering me a percaset (sp?) to make me feel better:) I yelled for my mom and she said I needed to go to urgent care for stitches! 3 hours of waiting, 2 stitches, and a funky hand wrap later I am good as new! I have to wear this thing for two days! I look like a boxer getting ready to enter the ring! What a day!!!

Oh my gosh Adria!!!! You could have lost your thumb. You will never look at Avocados the same way again. I hope you don't lose any feeling in your thumb. That happened to me for a while. Good grief...leave the big knives for big things child!

oh my gosh age!!! no more avocados for you!!! gosh dang.....thats why i stay clear of the kitchen altogether..its safer that way! :)
Only you Age... I love you! You are so silly. I don't think you should be alowed to play with knives anymore... Love the April fools joke too. One of the girls at the other Cosmo school here sent around phone calls that State Board was in town. Needless to say, all the Salons and both schools in the valley are spotless now (just like they should always be). Anyway... I hope your had is feeling better! Love ya!
OH Adria! I am so sorry! That hurts so bad and so inconveniant(SP?) Glad your sister had those percocets. It was so good to hear from you! Do you love your new place? I am really jelous of your mexico trip!!

OUCH!!!!!!! Sucks to be you. But I can't tell you how many times I have nearly cut off a finger. I am lucky to still have all my digits. Get better soon.
